Roderick Kilgour

An image of Roderick Kilgour in his home guard uniform shared by the The D-Day Story, In 1944, civilian Roderick Kilgour was sent on behalf of the Mine Design Department to install 'special recording instruments' at Port-en-Bessin and Cherbourg (we are not exactly sure what this was about). He took with him some bottles of Brickwood's beer, and kept the labels, marking on each the place and date where he drank it, and who he shared it with. He drank one bottle of beer while on board the light vessel "Juno"!", please see the photo of the beer label in the main gallery
