The instagram challenge 2022
During 2022 a recent challenge on Instagram by the #lighthousegang has resulted in artists from around the world creating their own interpretations of LV72 sitting on the muddy bank on the River Neath at Neath Abbey South Wales,
a fantastic poem written by Andrew Addis-Fuller about LV72
Under a dark wide starry sky,
Engulfed with silt and mud I lie, distant memories of a past gone by, how once I shone beneath the darkest sky.
My light shone bright out into the night, it really was a marvellous sight,
For it was I who lit the way,
Guiding allied ships across the bay.
This my historic past, my duty calling, to light the way and stop France from falling.
But now in a grave of mud without glory,
Hoping that you will come and tell my story....
